M.D.S. or Master of Dental Surgery is a postgraduate Dentistry course. Dentistry is the branch of medicine dealing with the anatomy and development and diseases of the teeth. While pursuing this course, one learns and excels in Roentgen graphic Techniques, applied surgery and anesthesia, plastic surgery and many such techniques. The duration of Master of Dental Surgery is generally three years, however there is a provision of two years M.D.S. Course for candidates who have passed Post Graduate Diploma course recognized by the DCI of the duration of two years in particular specialty.

1.       Prosthodontics: M.D.S. Prosthodontics or Master of Dental Surgery in Prosthodontics is a postgraduate Dentistry course. 3.       Periodontics Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics: Masters in Dental Surgery in Periodontics or M.D.S. Periodontics is a three-year postgraduate program.  Periodontics is a branch of dentistry that deals with diseases of the supporting and investing structures of the teeth including the gums, cementum, periodontal membranes, and alveolar bone. Periodontal diseases are bacterial infections that destroy the attachment fibers and supporting bone that hold the teeth in the mouth.

4.       Orthodontics: M.D.S. Oral Pathology is a branch of dentistry that is concerned with the diseases of the teeth, oral cavity, and jaws, and with the oral manifestations of systemic diseases.

7.       Pedodontics & Preventive Dentistry: Masters in Dental Surgery in Pedodontic and Preventive Dentistry or M.D.S. Pedodontic and Preventive Dentistry is a three-year postgraduate program.  Pedodontic and Preventive Dentistry is an age-defined specialty that provides both primary and comprehensive preventive and therapeutic oral health care for infants and children through adolescence, including those with special health care needs.

8.       Conservative, Endodontics & Aesthetic Dentistry: M.D.S. Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics or Masters in Dental Surgery in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics is a three-year postgraduate program.
