JSS Medical College,
Mysore was set up in the year 1984. The college is associated to Rajiv
Gandhi University of Health Sciences (RGUHS), Karnataka.
The institution is backed by highly qualified and
experienced staff, well equipped laboratories, library, and modern teaching
aids.
The college offers undergraduate course in medicine (M.B.B.S) and postgraduate degree (M.D/M.S) and diploma programs in 20 medical disciplines.
The graduate and post-graduate programs of the college are
recognized by the Medical Council of India. The courses offered are also
recognized by General Medical Council (UK), Sri Lanka Medical Council and WHO.
The college has been recognized by the Royal College of Obstetrics and
Gynecology, UK, for the award of MRCOG.
After the formation of JSS University (Established under
Section-3 of UGC Act) JSS Medical College has become a constituent college of
the JSS University from the Academic year 2008-2009.
The students of this college are from all corners of India
as well from abroad. Post-graduate courses in various faculties, Ph.D. and Para
Medical Courses have also been started.

This graduation program is of five and a half year’s
duration including a compulsory rotatory internship of one year duration.
Eligibility:
The candidate should complete 17 years of age on or before
31st December in the year of admission for any undergraduate programs.
Admissions Procedure:
- The candidate seeking admission to MBBS courses should have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination PUC II/HSC or the Indian School Certificate Examination (ISCE) or any other examination equivalent to 10+2/ HSC examination of any recognized Board / University from any School / Colleges in India / Abroad after 12 years of study.
- The candidate should have passed in the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology & English individually and must have obtained at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the qualifying examinations i.e. PUC II / 10+2 / HSC or equivalent and for SC, ST, category-I & OBC the eligibility will be 40%.
- The candidate should also have secured at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology taken together in the JSSU Entrance Test and for SC, ST, category-I & OBC the eligibility will be 40% for admission to MBBS course.
