LAST ROUND OF COUNSELLING
The Hon’ble High Court of Kerala in its order dated 1st July 2014 on the W.A
Nos.797,801,809,822 and 838 of 2014 has set aside the judgement of the learned single Judge
on WP(c)5928/2014 and connected cases and thereby Clause 4-4.1 of the Prospectus for
Admission to P G Medical courses, Kerala-2014 is also set aside.
Hence the allotments already made to the Service Quota seats become void. As per G O (Rt) No.2291/2014/H&FWD dated 05.07.2014, the Government have directed the CEE to conduct a re-counselling to the Service Quota seats. In these circumstances, the last round of counselling to fill up the Service Quota seats and the vacant State General Quota seats in Government Medical colleges including the seats expected to be reverted from All India Quota in Medical P G courses - 2014 will be conducted on 08.07.2014 (Tuesday) at the Old Auditorium inside the Medical College
campus, Thiruvananthapuram.
The counselling will be by personal appearance. The counselling to the General Quota seats will be based on the various merit and category lists published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations and that to the Service Quota seats will be based on the seniority-wise lists of service candidates prepared by the Heads of Departments concerned.
The service candidates are directed to report at the venue of the personal counselling
at 9.30 am on 08.07.2014. The General Quota candidates are directed to report at the
venue of the personal counselling at 1.30 pm on 08.07.2014. The candidates appearing for
the counselling shall produce all their original certificates to prove their academic eligibility
along with the Admit Card issued by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations.
The candidates who are already admitted under All India Quota and those admitted
under Government seats in Self financing Medical colleges are not allowed to attend the
counselling. The vacancies, if any, created at the time of allotment will be filled up then and
there itself according to merit and eligibility.
The candidates who get allotment will be issued with an allotment memo and the fee
to be paid will be shown in the memo. This amount of fee should be paid at the venue of the
allotment. The candidates who get an allotment should pay the fees shown in the allotment memo at
the venue of allotment itself (Rs.50,000/- for General candidates and Rs.1000/- for SC/ST/OEC
candidates).
Important: The candidates who are allotted with a subject in the counselling and who
discontinues the course on any reason after the final Centralised Allotment Process (CAP)
shall be liable to pay the liquidated damages as per Clause 13-2.1 of the prospectus.
