Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences (DMIMS) – a Deemed University was come into existence in the year 2005.


The constituents of the Deemed University are located in a 125 acre campus in Sawangi (Meghe), Wardha about 70 kms from Nagpur, Maharashtra, India which is the geographic centre of India. Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College is a constituent of Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences University.

The institute is awarded with status of deemed University by Govt. of India. The deemed university governed Jawaharlal Nehru medical college and Sharad pawar dental college.

The institute was included in the best Category A by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India amongst the Deemed Universities in the month of May 2013.

MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery) – 4 ½ years course plus 1 year of compulsory internship

Eligibility:
  • Datta Meghe Institute of Medical Sciences has laid down certain eligibility criteria for those who have applied for appearing in DMIMS AIPMET entrance exam.
  • The candidate applying for this entrance test must be a citizen of India.
  • The candidate must be above 17 years of age at the time of applying for this test.
  • The candidates must have passed Higher Secondary Certificate Examination (10+2) or its equivalent, from any recognized state/national Board.
  • The candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Biology with English as one of the main subjects.
  • Students appearing for final year are also eligible to apply for this program.
