Padmashri Dr.
Vitthalrao Vikhe Patil Foundation's Medical College & Hospital was
created in the year 2004. The institute is recognized by Medical Council of
India (MCI), New Delhi in 2009 and is affiliated to Maharashtra University of
Health Sciences (MUHS), Nashik.
The institute has emerged as an excellent center in Medical
Education, Training & Research activities at National level and Health Care
Services especially to down trodden people at their door steps.
The College offers undergraduate course in Medicine ( MBBS )
with an intake of 150 students per year and Postgraduate Courses in 15
Disciplines.
The Medical complex is situated in an area of 33 acres in
the beautiful scenario of Vilad Ghat, Ahmednagar. Added to this, over 700
bedded Dr. Vikhe Patil Memorial Hospital with state of the art labs, equipments
as well as other facilities and four primary Health centers namely Dehare,
Jeur, Walki and Mehekari, One Urban Health Center at Burudgaon and one Rural
Health Training Center at Bhalawani for undergraduate training, where the
patients are treated at subsidised rates.

Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor
of Surgery (MBBS):
MBBS (Medicine and Surgery)- Stands for Bachelor of Medicine
and Bachelor of Surgery. Typically, MBBS (Medicine and Surgery) is a 5 or 6
years course, minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate (10+2) in
science with more than 50%marks. Surgery is essentially the process of
utilizing instrumental techniques on a person by the doctors for investigating
as well as treating a pathological condition, for instance disease or injury.
Eligibility Criteria:
- A candidate belonging to open category must have obtained not less than 50% Marks in Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.
- A Candidate belonging to Reserved Category must have obtained not less than 40% Marks Physics, Chemistry & Biology subject taken together at the HSC (or Equivalent) Examination.
- No rounding off of the marks secured by the candidate will be done in individual subject or final total while converting marks of the individual subject out of 100 or total marks out of 300. For example, if the total of the marks in three subjects comes to 149 out of 300, percentage comes to 49.66 that will not qualify the candidate.
- The candidates who are appearing for the qualifying examination i.e. HSC or equivalent in March/April are also eligible to appear for Asso-CET, provided they must fulfill the eligibility conditions.
- The eligibility conditions may vary in accordance with Judicial Pronouncements and orders issued by appropriate Authorities from time to time.
